GAME JOURNALISM Day 4 - Plan

My plan is to build things that make energy more accessible.

This is my base with a big group of turbines and solar panels. Also in this screenshot you can see I have 20 colonists. Witch is good.

Because I have 20 colonists I did not get enough food to keep them alive. So I put Biologists as all that I want from the landing pad.

In this screenshot I have 4 colonists because the other 16 died of starvation. As you can see I didn't get any Biologists.

GAME JOURNALISM Day 3 -Review(1)

My base at the start was good but forgot to build more stuff to supply power as my base got bigger. Over the night I constantly went out of power because I didn't build enough wind turbines and solar panels. Then because I didn't have power Nobody could make food so they all starved. Before every one died an asteroid almost hit my base. This game is like Sim City 2000, but newer and space.

GAME JOURNALISM Day 2 - Review

To set up your colony start by building oxygen generator, then build a solar panel and energy storage. First I would pretty much follow what I remember of the tutorial. In the walk thru he had already played for about an hour to understand so he didn't understand as much as a teacher of the game should know. I assumed that he assumed a lot of what he said and did. I wouldn't do anything different from the tutorial. What went wrong was I forgot to rake screenshots, so I had to play the tutorial 4 times. Press space to get rid of all things on the screen for a screenshot. I am not really sure how to use the help option and the other menus.

GAME JOURNALISM Day 1 - first impression

Doesn't seem interesting. The medic looks like he is in a gang. The engineer looks like she is Bob the builder. the constructor bot looks like Walle. The planets resemble planets we currently have like Mars, Pluto and Jupiter.

"Planetbase is a strategy game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish an outpost in a remote planet." from http://planetbase.madrugaworks.com/ In the game you land on a planet as a base architect, you will manage what happens on the planet and you will have to have a balence of food, water and oxygen to survive. The goal of the game is to unlock all three of the planets. To do that you need to unlock milestones. The different planets have different difficulties.

This guy with an accent does a game-play first impressions of the game. He thinks the game is good. He thinks the people should have a back story even though nobody would read them it would be interesting and the whole point is to build a base. The milestones are the only goals, their is really no end game.
